1. Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how Kalandri Capital Private Limited (“Kalandri”, the “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles refunds in respect of payments made to us, including payments made online through net banking, payment gateways and other electronic modes.
2. Nature of Payments
Payments made to Kalandri are typically towards financial obligations, such as loan repayments, Equated Monthly Instalments (EMIs), processing fees, foreclosure or prepayment amounts, and other applicable charges under a sanctioned facility. As these payments discharge amounts due under a loan agreement, they are, as a general rule, non-refundable.
3. Erroneous, Excess or Duplicate Payments
Notwithstanding the above, if you make a payment that is erroneous, in excess of the amount due, or duplicated on account of a technical or processing error, the excess or erroneous amount will be refunded to you, or adjusted against your outstanding dues, upon verification. Refunds are made to the original source account / payment instrument used for the transaction.
4. Failed or Declined Transactions
Where an amount is debited from your account but the transaction fails or is not credited to Kalandri, the amount is generally auto-reversed by the bank or payment gateway to the source account. If the reversal does not occur within the timeline prescribed by the bank / RBI, please contact us with the transaction details so we can assist in tracing and resolving the payment.
5. Refund Timelines
Verified refunds are processed to the original payment method within the following indicative timelines:
| Failed transaction auto-reversal | As per bank / RBI turn-around time (typically within 5–7 working days) |
|---|---|
| Excess / duplicate / erroneous payment | Within 7–10 working days of verification |
| Credit to your account after Kalandri initiates refund | Subject to your bank / card issuer’s processing time |
Actual credit timelines depend on your bank, card issuer or payment provider and are beyond Kalandri’s direct control.
6. Prepayment & Foreclosure
Prepayment and foreclosure of a loan are governed by the terms of the applicable sanction letter and loan agreement and by the Company’s Fair Practices Code. Amounts paid towards valid prepayment or foreclosure of a facility are not refundable except where paid in excess of the amount actually due.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or report a payment issue, please contact us with the following details: (a) date and amount of the transaction; (b) transaction / reference number; (c) mode of payment; and (d) your loan / customer reference number. Requests can be raised using the contact details below or through the grievance-redressal mechanism in our Fair Practices Code.
8. Grievances
If you are not satisfied with the resolution of a refund request, you may escalate the matter in accordance with the escalation matrix set out in our Fair Practices Code. The designated Grievance Redressal Officer is Tejasri Thammana (tejasri@kalandricapital.com).
